In memory of Fluff and Grey, my OGs

“A cat is not a dog” – T.S. Eliot

Nearly half of cat owners rely more on social media than their veterinarian for pet care advice. Recognizing the gap in accessible, evidence-based information, especially in feline nutrition, Michelle created Feminist Kitty, a brand focused on educational content around feline health, nutrition, and her own experiences as a multi-cat owner.

Today, she has an audience of over 275,000 engaged followers across multiple social media platforms, where she shares honest product guidance, what’s worth buying, what isn’t, and how to make better nutritional decisions.

She is pursuing a Master of Veterinary Science (MVS) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expanding her training in physiology, pathology, animal health, and nutrition to continue bridging the gap between veterinary science and pet owner education.

She is proudly owned by six cats.
